There comes a point in one's spiritual journey when questions grow deeper than inherited answers.
For years, I have observed a pattern within mainstream Christian expression - a strong emphasis on doctrine, structure, and performance, yet a quiet neglect of the transforming love and truth at the heart of Jesus' message.
I became increasingly convinced that, before we are members of any religion or Christian denomination, divided by doctrines and beliefs, we are humans created superior beings by a good God. Therefore, we deserve dignity and respect.
We deserve kindness,
We deserve to love and be loved.
In our world today, we are gradually losing our humanity. Humans have become unjust, unkind, brutal and cruel to one another even in Christian circles.
When Jesus spoke of the kingdom of God, He did not describe a system.
He described a transformed way of being.
A way marked by compassion
By inner renewal
By light overcoming darkness.
Billwills Press was born from that conviction.
It exists to publish books that recover the spiritual depth often overshadowed by institutional religion - books that awaken the spirit and love within us and inspire human service as the truest expression of faith.
My hope is simple:
That through these works, individuals will be transformed, communities restored, and society illuminated by courageous love and truth.
This is not a rejection of the Church.
It is a call to its deepest truth.
In an age of distortion, distraction and diluted truth, there is a deep need for works that return believers to the simplicity, depth, and transforming power of the gospel.
This imprint exists not merely to produce books, but to cultivate rooted faith - faith that is Spirit-filled, thoughtful, grounded, transformative, mature, and enduring.
Our prayer is that every book published under this name will:
Clarify truth
Strengthen conviction
Deepen spiritual life
Encourage transformation
May these works serve the church faithfully and point always to Christ, who is the embodiment of the way, the truth and the life - John 14:6.
